  • Mission is to provide teachers for the Charlotte Region
  • School Hours-7:15 AM-2:15 PM
  • 4 classrooms located in the Cato College of Education, 8838 Craver Road
  • 10th Grade Classes take place in the CEEC Building
  • Early College Calendar for 2019-20.  Begins on Aug. 7, 2019 and Ends on May 15, 2020
  • CTEC is a 5-year program and will serve grades 9-13
  • 55 students per grade level
  • 275 students by the 2021-22 school year
  • 24 credits for HS earned on site at UNC Charlotte in the Cato College of Education Building
  • Students have the potential to earn 60+ hours of college transfer credit during the 5-year program
  • Education/Teaching Focus in all classrooms
  • Project Based Learning is a primary focus in all classrooms
  • Clinical Teaching/Observation Opportunities
  • Standards-Based/Mastery Grading
  • Technology Rich Learning Environment
  • CTEC will serve as a regional site for research and professional development to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning
  • CTEC will serve as a learning laboratory for the College of Education

  • Foreign Language/Health/Physical Education credits earned via NC Virtual Public High School/Edgenuity
  • CTEC students will have the opportunity to take college coursework during the 10th grade year
  • Student Interest will drive the development of clubs, social events, yearbook, and other school cultural events.
  • Transportation provided by CMS.  Neighborhood stops will be provided within .4 miles of your address
  • Breakfast and Lunch provided daily by CMS Food Service
